Energy efficient cooking stoves
in Uganda

The object of the project is to promote and support the spread of energy-efficient cooking stoves in Uganda. The cooking stoves specially developed for the project are simple, but durable and effective. Compared to traditional open hearths, the new metal stoves enable fuel savings of 35 to 50 percent.

 

Starting from the metropolitan region of Kampala, the project area is gradually being expanded. To date, more than 500,000 households have been equipped with the efficient stoves.
