ZC3 thrills again with more than 4,000 athletes / As a co-sponsor, First Climate also sent two teams to the starting line

Swimming, cycling, running – with this trio of disciplines, Switzerland’s largest triathlon once again brought on immense emotions, cheers, and action in 2025. For the fourth time, athletes gathered in the heart of Zurich to take on the sporting challenge under brilliant sunshine and the summer heat, spurring each other on with enthusiastic support. Two motivated teams from First Climate also participated in the corporate race.

In the Olympic distance event – the category First Climate’s teams had entered – participants began with a 1.5 km swim in Lake Zurich, starting from Saffa Island. This was followed by a cycling course of two 20 km loops between Landiwiese and Küsnacht along the lakeshore. The final leg was a 10 km run that led to a finish line lakeside in the center of Landiwiese.

Both First Climate teams – consisting of Pablo Carballo Chanfón (swimming), Lia Flury (cycling), and Yves Keller (running) as well as Gian-Andri Morf (swimming), Marika Stocker (cycling), and David Moosmann (running) – began the race with great ambition. Team 1 had a particularly strong start: Pablo crossed the watery finish line with an impressive fifth place ranking. The corporate race ended at the final finish line where team members waited along the course to cheer on their runners and celebrate the finish together.

“The joy over what was accomplished, and everyone’s feelings of accomplishment were clearly visible. It was truly admirable how our athletes overcame the heat on race day with endurance, team spirit, and enthusiasm,” said Linda Manieram, Managing Director of First Climate (Switzerland) AG, who was on site to support the teams.

From the course and the Landiwiese area, participants and spectators enjoyed breathtaking views of Lake Zurich and the historic city center. The event site buzzed with activity. New this year was the exclusive ZC3 Lounge, which offered visitors a relaxed retreat and top-notch catering. There was an array of food trucks in the ZC3 Village offering international dishes and refreshing drinks. But the ultimate cool-down came when participants and attendees plunged into Lake Zurich – especially popular this year due to the hot summer weather.

Together for a Sustainable ZC3

As an event partner, the expert team at First Climate is already working to calculate the carbon footprint related to ZC3, including the travel emissions of all participants. At First Climate’s sponsor booth in the ZC3 Village, right next to the finish line and race bib pick-up point, participants were able to anonymously directly enter their travel data to support the sustainability of the event.

A big thank you goes to everyone who has already submitted their data. For those who missed the chance on-site – there’s still time to support the initiative. It is simple: Click the link below – Enter your travel data anonymously – Done!

Thank you in advance for your support!
