Move comes on the heels of First Climate receiving a Platinum Rating for the company’s successful sustainability commitment
First Climate and its consultancy arm are expanding support to corporate sustainability with new climate and ESG reporting services. These offers serve to help businesses meet growing demands for transparency and carbon management, aligned with EcoVadis and other entities. The launch follows First Climate's platinum EcoVadis rating, placing it in the top 1% of rated companies worldwide.

The new services offer expert guidance to meet the rising demands for transparency and effectiveness in carbon emissions management–ultimately, helping them achieve top scores in EcoVadis and comparable rating scales. To this end, the First Climate Consulting team offers, among other things, an analysis of the respective company's current sustainability solutions, including the identification of areas for potential deeper engagement and the development of an action plan. In addition, the First Climate experts support the development of relevant guidelines and processes as well as offer long-term support with the relevant rating procedures upon request.
In the Top 1% of 100,000 rated companies
First Climate itself is one of the highest rated companies in the world, in terms of sustainability performance, having recently been awarded “platinum” status from EcoVadis. The award underscores First Climate’s pioneering role in implementing responsible business practices as well as its established expertise in corporate climate engagement and strategy.
“Today, climate and sustainability-related reporting isn’t just about ticking boxes; it’s about embedding climate knowledge into the DNA of how companies operate.”

“We very excited about being awarded the EcoVadis platinum status and the affirmation of our commitment to measurable, ongoing sustainability improvements—not just in our services, but in how we manage our own footprint,” says Sid Petersen, Managing Director of the First Climate Consulting GmbH and is responsible for the company’s EcoVadis program.
“Today, climate and sustainability-related reporting isn’t just about ticking boxes; it’s about embedding climate knowledge into the DNA of how companies operate,” Petersen goes on.
With the new service offer, First Climate brings its expertise and years-long experience to the table to help companies achieve just this and improve their own ratings in relevant sustainability schemes like EcoVadis. “Thanks to our increased services, we’re making it possible for our clients to report with heightened accuracy, act with insight, and lead with confidence,” Petersen says, concurrently highlighting the new services offered by his team.
The EcoVadis Corporate Rating System
EcoVadis evaluates companies using 21 sustainability criteria across four themes: environment, labor & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. First Climate again scored particularly well in the areas of environment and labor & human rights , citing measures such as company-wide renewable energy use, low-impact procurement, public transport incentives, and a strong internal culture of environmental responsibility.
The EcoVadis assessment covers over 100,000 companies globally and leverages AI-supported review methods to ensure consistency and rigor. The recent upgrade to the top platinum status replaces First Climate’s initial silver recognition and highlights continued progress across these key areas of environmental, social, and ethical performance.
