Renewed partnership with CDP as a silver renewable energy and science-based targets solutions provider in the DACH region
First Climate continues its partnership with CDP and has once again been confirmed as an Accredited Solutions Provider (ASP) in 2024. First Climate has been accredited as a silver renewable energy and science-based targets solutions provider in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), meeting CDP’s accreditation criteria and offering support and professionalism in guiding companies to disclose their environmental impacts.
As new standards and frameworks are becoming relevant to many companies in the DACH region, disclosing through CDP is more important than ever. CDP runs the world’s environmental disclosure platform for companies, investors, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts. By scoring companies and cities, CDP aims to incentivize and guide them on a journey through disclosure towards becoming a leader in environmental transparency and action.
First Climate’s sustainability consultants work closely with clients to determine goals and a complementary strategy, conduct gap analyses to identify potential areas for increased climate action, create opportunity and risk profiles, analyze hotspots and emission sources, and prepare a final report. First Climate’s expertise and solutions for renewable energy and science-based targets specifically gives its clients an edge when disclosing through CDP.
“It’s important to us at First Climate to keep long-term progress in mind and work together with companies to build upon the successes of previous years [. . .]." – Sid Petersen, Managing Director of First Climate Consulting GmbH
Sid Petersen, Managing Director of First Climate Consulting GmbH, explains, “It’s important to us at First Climate to keep long-term progress in mind and work together with companies to build upon the successes of previous years. With more value being placed on a company’s impacts on the environment, it is crucial for companies to develop a robust reporting strategy. That is why this year we will – together with our clients – be turning more of our attention to the possible overlap with mandatory reporting requirements and translating these CDP successes into the CSRD.”
