First Climate celebrates 25th year anniversary
This year, our company celebrates a quarter of a century of climate action, presenting the perfect opportunity to reflect on the past and look to the future. We will regularly report on interesting facts about our company and its history in the First Climate Newsletter in the coming months.
Our founding in 1999 marks the first chapter of First Climate’s history, marking our company as a pioneer in the field of mandatory and voluntary emissions trading - and thus as one of the very first providers of corporate climate protection solutions. Much has changed since then and efforts for international climate action have increasingly gained momentum. The evolution from the Kyoto Protocol to the Paris Agreement is certainly a clear sign of the changes that have taken place. What has remained the same is First Climate's pursuit of new, effective climate action solutions to support clients in their own commitment to climate action.
