Team of experts presented effective solutions for corporate climate action initiatives in Essen
E-world energy & water took place again as planned in Essen from February 10 to 12, 2026. The trade fair brought together representatives from the energy industry, industry, municipal companies, and research fields. Exhibitors from Germany and abroad presented innovative technologies, services, and new concepts to the trade audience. First Climate was also onsite with its signature stand.

The multi-faceted program at E-world offered space for the exchange of experience and knowledge in four open expert forums. Visitors were able to learn more about industry trends, gain new perspectives, and get insights on strategies for sustainable decarbonization. At the same time, there was plenty of room for networking and dialogue.
During the trade fair, the First Climate team of experts informed trade visitors about current approaches and solutions for corporate climate protection. Thematic focal points included the further development of climate strategies and the implementation of decarbonization targets. Carbon dioxide removals, or CDRs, were a central topic in this context. First Climate presented both technology-based carbon storage processes such as biochar and nature-based solutions.
The climate expert also presented sustainable energy solutions and digital tools that enable efficient and transparent emissions management, including with regard to supply chains. Another topic was the role of targeted project funding through carbon credits and their contribution to measurable climate benefits.
In addition to the technical exchange, an interactive “Spin to Win – for Nature” promotion invited visitors to use a digital spinning wheel to win the planting of up to 3 m² of flowering area enhanced with biochar. The promotion was carried out in cooperation with Netzwerk Blühende Landschaft (Blooming Landscape Network), which advocates for greater biodiversity and, in particular, for the protection of insects throughout Germany. The aim was focused on raising awareness regarding carbon removals and supporting local biodiversity.
About the Netzwerk Blühende Landschaft
