Corporate carbon footprints
First Climate has been calculating corporate carbon footprints for over 20 years. All greenhouse gases that are released through business activities within a year are included in the carbon footprint. Carbon footprinting of value chains
Upon request, we include the climate impact of all relevant value chain emissions into your corporate carbon footprint. First Climate’s carbon footprints allow you to work together with your suppliers and sub-suppliers to minimize the environmental impact of your products.
Product carbon footprints
The calculation of product carbon footprints also takes the upstream and downstream emissions into account. First Climate considers all greenhouse gas emissions from the extraction of raw materials and manufacture of products, through the logistics phases to the usage and disposal.

For companies in the finance industry, we create carbon footprints for investment and financial portfolios based on the PCAF standard. These enable you to take into account any climate change-related risks and opportunities when making investment decisions.
​* Note on the RFI factor we use:
Aircraft emissions at high altitudes have a greater effect on the climate than those near the ground. This effect is expressed by the RFI factor (Radiative Forcing Index) when calculating the carbon footprint. Different scientific studies evaluate the extent of this effect differently. First Climate uses an RFI factor of 2.7, and follows the recommendations of the IPCC.
