First Climate congratulates Kärcher on winning the prestigious award
For its exemplarily sustainable use of resources, Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG has now been awarded the German Sustainability Award (GSA), which was presented at the 14th German Sustainability Day. The First Climate team, who supports Kärcher in implementing its sustainability strategy, congratulates Kärcher on this success.
Out of seven finalists in the category resources, the jury decided in favor of Kärcher. The company is based in Baden-Wuerttemberg and specializes in efficient cleaning technology, being the global market leader in this sector. In 2014, Kärcher introduced the holistic sustainability strategy “Sustainability Excellence”, which it still pursues to achieve its goals. It continuously optimizes its manufacturing processes and products to make them as resource-efficient and sustainable as possible. This year, Kärcher achieved the goal of carbon-neutral production in all of its plants around the globe. The company is supported by First Climate who is responsible for the compensation of operational greenhouse gas emissions and for the supply of Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs).
The jury consisting of six experts praised Kärcher for expanding the sustainability of its core operations, its supplier auditing, and the increased energy efficiency of its product range. By continuously optimizing its products, the company is contributing notably to a more sustainable future.
