First Climate announces that it will continue its collaboration with CDP as Silver Renewable Energy Partner for the UK and the DACH region in 2019. The cooperation between CDP and First Climate in renewable energy began in 2016. Previously, First Climate had already acted as a Water Management Partner to CDP.

“We are delighted to continue our Silver Renewable Energy Partnership with First Climate to jointly promote the use of renewable energy and to help businesses transition faster and seize the opportunities of a low-carbon economy”,

says Steven Tebbe, Managing Director CDP Europe.

As an accredited solutions provider to CDP, First Climate is a point of contact for companies wishing to switch to renewable energy. It supports companies with tailored services to develop and implement global renewable energy procurement strategies which meet CDP requirements and the GHG Protocol guidelines. This involves, but is not limited to, developing and implementing sustainable strategies for the use of renewable energy. CDP accreditation is a seal of quality, proving that all service offers meet CDP quality standards.

As part of their collaboration, First Climate and CDP have conducted several webinars for companies interested in sourcing green energy. The latest session “Practice Guide: How to Develop a Green Energy Procurement Plan”, examining chances and challenges of different sourcing options, is now available on the First Climate website.

About CDP

CDP is an international non-profit that drives companies and governments to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, safeguard water resources and protect forests. Voted number one climate research provider by investors and working with institutional investors with assets of US$87 trillion, we leverage investor and buyer power to motivate companies to disclose and manage their environmental impacts. Over 6,300 companies with some 55% of global market capitalization disclosed environmental data through CDP in 2017. This is in addition to the over 500 cities and 100 states and regions who disclosed, making CDP’s platform one of the richest sources of information globally on how companies and governments are driving environmental change. CDP, formerly Carbon Disclosure Project, is a founding member of the We Mean Business Coalition. Please visit www.cdp.net or follow us @CDP to find out more.
