The VER+ Standard is the TÜV SÜD standard for projects generating Verified Emission Reductions. It is largely in line with the requirements of Kyoto Protocol for JI / CDM projects.
The catalog of the VER+ Standard criteria includes eligibility, additionality, permanence, exclusivity, avoidance of double-counting, environmental and social criteria, a defined ex-post crediting period and a conservative methodological calculation approach.
TÜV SÜD, a UN accredited independent verifier, is one of First Climate’s technical partners: a large percentage of our emission reduction credits for the Voluntary Market are verified according to the VER+ Standard and can be retired in the BlueRegistry, TÜV SÜD’s registry for voluntary credits.
