Maersk Logistics said it is teaming up with Germany-based investment advisor First Climate in a partnership that offers a portfolio of environmental services to Maersk Logistics clients.
The two companies have created a service called SupplyChain CarbonCheck, which offers what they call a complete supply-chain carbon management solution.
The service supports companies in assessing and reducing their supply-chain carbon footprint by enabling them to become supply-chain carbon neutral by acquiring certified carbon credits from First Climate’s portfolio of greenhouse gas reduction projects
First Climate develops and finances greenhouse gas reduction projects and commercializes the respective carbon credits on carbon markets globally.
As investment advisor to several institutional investors, First Climate structures carbon funds and related products. In the voluntary market, the company provides carbon credits verified according to international standards.
