Your first priority will be the sourcing CERs and VERs from projects and managing existing and new projects in this business area. You will be closely interlinked with the business development and execution teams within India, as well as with the international Carbon Asset Development teams.
 
Key Responsibilities  

• Identification of CER/VER purchase opportunities
• Deal structuring
• Coordination with CER/VER off-take channels (internal and external)
• Contract drafting and negotiation
• Project due diligence
• Performance tracking of registration process
• Supervision and coordination of registration process for projects developed in-house
• Supervision and coordination of monitoring and verification process
  
• Database management
• Client relation management
• Development of new business areas
• Structuring and improvement of sourcing strategies and business development tools
• Attendance in national and international conferences
• Writing of press articles
• Research and internal knowledge management

Specific Requirements 

You hold an Engineering degree from a reputed institute along with demonstrated relevant working experience in the CDM flied of at least 3 years. Knowledge of climate change policy and the Carbon Market, CDM, greenhouse gas emission reduction technologies is expected. You possess strong project management skills gained in the energy, waste or industrial sector and you have an ample contact network within relevant industries and the carbon market. You are a strong team player. Strong analytical skills and communication skills are critical for this role.
