With more than ten years of carbon market experience, First Climate can look back on co-operations in more than 160 projects across all continents. As a Carbon Asset Manager with offices in Germany, Switzerland, the United States, Chile and China, as well as co-operations around the world, First Climate has extensive expertise in originating and procuring CDM/JI and VER projects. The company is involved in the entire carbon credit value chain: from the development of emission reduction projects to the issuance and commercialization of certificates.
Project Type: Wind power
Location: China
The project consists of the implementation of 15 wind turbine generators with a total installed generation capacity of approx. 16 MW. The power generated by the wind park (approx. 30 GWh per year) is fed into the regional grid. The project is validated and verified by TÜV-Rheinland in accordance with the VER+ Standard applying an UN approved CDM methodology.
Project Type: Biomass
Location: India
The project is aimed at the dissipation of methane gas into bio energy. Using modern technology, the methane discharged from the waste water of a sugar plant is captured and utilized for steam generation to operate a turbo generator. Over a period of 7 years, the project generates emission reductions of 313,104 t CO2e.
Project Type: Energy Efficiency
Location: India
The purpose of project is to upgrade the existing plant technology with energy efficient technology and to reduce the specific steam consumption ratio. Over a period of 10 years, the project will thus generate emission reductions of 2,953,080 t CO2e.
Project Type: Wind power
Location: Turkey
The project aims at generating energy through wind power in order to reduce the usage of fossil fuels for energy generation. Over a period of 7 years the project generates emission reductions of 501,968 t CO2e.
Project Type: Biomass
Location: Brazil
The fuel-switch project reduces greenhouse gases through substitution of the native firewood by rice husk for thermal energy generation used on the ceramic firing process. The rice husk is a renewable biomass that presents a shorter renewal cycle when compared to the native firewood renewal cycle.
Project Type: Wind power
Location: New Zealand
The purpose of the project is to construct and achieve commercial operation of a wind generation development of 82.5-96.25 MW in the Manawatu/Ruahine region of the lower North Island.
Project Type: Wind power
Location: India
The project activity consists of the installation of wind turbines with 1.25 MW capacity each, amounting to a total of 10 MW generation capacity on two different sites in Dhule district, State of Maharashtra. Over a period of 10 years, the project generates emission reductions of 145,328 t CO2e.
