Carbon Funds

The young and dynamic carbon market is full of arbitrage opportunities that can be used in innovative investment vehicles, such as carbon funds or related products.

Fund Investment
First Climate’s focus is the development and management of carbon funds. High calibre global investors entrust the First Climate Carbon Investment Advisory department to invest in companies and projects involved in the reduction of greenhouse gases.

Carbon Fund Risk Analysis
First Climate identifies and evaluates embedded risks in carbon fund structuring. Our carbon fund risk strategies are based on sophisticated portfolio approaches and constant monitoring and assessment.

Purchasing Credits
First Climate is active both in project development and as a buyer and manager of emission reduction credits on behalf of investors, corporate clients and for our own portfolio. We also support our clients in structuring more complex carbon finance transactions including project finance, upfront payments and equity investment.
