Sourcing Manager
Bogotá (Colombia) / Lima (Peru)As part of the CDM/VER Origination Unit, your main tasks will be the sourcing, assessment and contracting of CDM projects as well as market development in the focal countries Peru and Colombia. You will be reporting directly to the Regional Manager Latin America.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively develop a network and liaise with cooperation partners, project owners, relevant industries and other stakeholders in the CDM market
- Increase First Climate’s market exposure in the focal countries
- Negotiate Term Sheets and Emission Reduction Purchase Agreements (ERPA); support corresponding contracting processes
- Assist the Regional Manager in periodic market assessment and evaluation of the country strategy
- Conduct CDM-related pre-assessment of projects
- Support due diligence (financial, technical, counterparty, CDM)
- Represent First Climate at national and international conferences, exhibitions and or workshops
Specific Requirements
You are a highly self-motivated talent, possessing excellent communication and negotiation skills and have proven your ability as negotiator with outstanding sales skills. A minimum of 3 years working experience with CDM projects, an in-depth understanding of the Carbon Market and relevant business networks in the focal countries are expected. Experience in sourcing and ERPA negotiation is considered a plus. You are a team player with good analytical and problem solving skills. You are proficient and confident in both Spanish and English.
