Carbon Offsets

We assist you in the development of strategies to quantify your carbon footprint across operations, products and supply/value chains, and identify opportunities to profit from internal emission reduction potentials. We support you in setting up a corporate greenhouse gas management and reporting system that fits your individual needs.

Your goals determine the type of certificate

First Climate’s portfolio includes both Verified Emission Reductions (VERs) from voluntary projects as well as Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) and Emission Reduction Units (ERUs) from CDM/JI-projects for our clients' carbon offsetting activities.

The selection of credit type depends on the overall climate strategy of our client and his or her business environment. Defining the reasons for offsetting will help identify the adequate offset type.

Verification by independent accountants

The accuracy of the retirement process is verified by the independent auditing company KMPG.

First Climate is the main sponsor of the Gold Standard version 2.
