Carbon Asset Development

The European Linking Directive turns the project-based mechanisms of the Kyoto protocol CDM and JI into valuable options of a corporate carbon risk management under the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS). Given the promising political framework, the volume of traded project-based certificates has been continuously increasing, with the demand far exceeding available supplies.

As one of the leading European Carbon Asset Management companies, First Climate develops and procures carbon credits from CDM and JI projects as well as from Verified Emission Reduction (VER) projects around the world. As a buyer, intermediary and investment advisor, First Climate identifies promising emission reduction opportunities and facilitates the development, financing and implementation of such projects in all development stages. We support projects financially and technically from the first idea to the registration process up to the final credit issuance. With our international offices, subsidiaries and extensive global network, we bring your project successfully to the market.

We offer project developers and sellers of carbon credits:

  • Assessment of the technical and commercial feasibility of your project
  • Development assistance and guidance through the registration process under the identified standards
  • Purchase and marketing of your carbon credits at custom-fit terms
